THE TEN COMMANDMENTS

Readers, do we know that God the Father gave us the Ten Commandments to meet an urgent need ? If there is no need for a commandment, God will not give it to Adam and Eve, or to us. God the Father said, "You shall have no other gods before Me. "You shall not make for yourself a carved image, or any likeness [of anything] that [is] in heaven above, or that [is] in the earth beneath, or that [is] in the water under the earth; you shall not bow down to them nor serve them. For I, the LORD your God, [am] a jealous God , visiting the iniquity of the fathers on the children to the third and fourth [generations] of those who hate Me, but showing mercy to thousands, to those who love Me and keep My commandments. "You shall not take the name of the LORD your God in vain, for the LORD will not hold [him] guiltless who takes His name in vain. "Remember the Sabbath day, to keep it holy. Six days you shall labor and do all your work, but the seventh day [is] the Sabbath of the L...

DENTURES

Today I want to write about a topic that I have never written about before. There are a couple reasons why I want to write about dentures. God the Father, by way of God the Son, has repeatedly talked about gnashing of the teeth. "The Son of Man will send out His angels, and they will gather out of His kingdom all things that offend , and those who practice lawlessness , "and will cast them into the furnace of fire. There will be wailing and gnashing of teeth. ” Matthew 13:41-42. The Bible says that at the end of time Jesus will gather all the things that offend who practice lawlessness, "and will cast them into the furnace of fire. There will be wailing and gnashing of teeth. ” Matthew 13:41-42. Readers, do you know who these people are who practice lawlessness ? They are the people who are living in sin . A sin is a sin, period. There is no such thing as living in sin under grace when Jesus returns . If God did not strike us death now for sleeping with somebody’s w...

SALT OF THE EARTH

God the Father, by way of God the Son said, "You are the salt of the earth ; but if the salt loses its flavor, how shall it be seasoned? It is then good for nothing but to be thrown out and trampled underfoot by men. "You are the light of the world. A city that is set on a hill cannot be hidden. "Nor do they light a lamp and put it under a basket, but on a lampstand, and it gives light to all [who are] in the house. " Let your light so shine before men, that they may see your good works and glorify your Father in heaven.” Matthew 5:13-16. Jesus uses the metaphor of salt and light to describe the character and usefulness of us and those who work for Him. And that is to glorify our God in heaven. Readers, be careful in what we do. The world is watching what we are doing. Are we glorifying the name of God the Father by keeping His commandments? Or are we dishonoring God the Father by abolishing the commandments of Yahweh? And what is the intention of our action...

WHY CALL ME LORD, LORD?

God the Father said, by way of Jesus, "But why do you call Me `Lord, Lord,' and do not do the things which I say?” Luke 6:46. Readers, do we understand what God the Father has said? He said, don’t go to church looking for Him if we do not plan to do His will! If we go to church to meet friends, listen to the band, have potluck together, but not do His will , why go to church? In other words, doing His will is more important than going to church and singing hymnals with a loud and clear voice. "Not everyone who says to Me, `Lord, Lord,' shall enter the kingdom of heaven, but he who does the will of My Father in heaven. "Many will say to Me on that day, `Lord, Lord, have we not prophesied in Your name, cast out demons in Your name, and done many wonders in Your name?' "And then I will declare to them, `I never knew you; depart from Me , you who practice lawlessness ! '” Matthew 7:21-23. People who practice lawlessness are living in sin , under ...

WE ARE NOT SAVED UNTIL WE ARE SAVED

Readers, do we know that we are not saved until we are saved, and not a minute sooner? The one thief on the cross that Jesus saved was not saved until he was saved, and not a minute sooner. And Jesus said, "But he who endures to the end shall be saved.” Matthew 24:13. Endures until the end, and not a minute sooner. What does this all tell us? It tells me that salvation is a marathon , and not a sprint . Some marathons take longer to finish, and some marathons are shorter for some people, such as in the case of the one thief on the cross. He was dying on the cross when Jesus saved him. He has no or little time left to repent . But God the Father will give us as much time as we need to repent . He knows our hearts. He knows our potential . The apostle Peter wrote, “ The Lord is not slack concerning [His] promise, as some count slackness, but is longsuffering toward us, not willing that any should perish but that all should come to repentance . ” 2 Peter 3:9. For some people re...

WHAT IN THE HELL?

God said, “Then the LORD saw that the wickedness of man [was] great in the earth , and [that] every intent of the thoughts of his heart [was] only evil continually. And the LORD was sorry that He had made man on the earth, and He was grieved in His heart. So the LORD said, "I will destroy man whom I have created from the face of the earth, both man and beast, creeping thing and birds of the air, for I am sorry that I have made them" (Genesis 6:5-7). Readers, have you ever heard your parents say to you that they are sorry that they have brought you to the world? What have you done to them? Readers, do you know why God said He was sorry for creating us? What have we done to our Father in heaven that makes Him feel that bad? Christian preachers have often recited the Bible and said, "For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have everlasting life.” (John 3:16). Why do you think the apostle John ...
