FATHER, FORGIVE THEM
The disciples of Jesus asked Jesus to teach them how to pray. In Matthew 6:9 Jesus taught them this, "In this manner, therefore, pray: Our Father in heaven , Hallowed be Your name.” Whom was Jesus referring to as Our Father in heaven. He was not referring to Himself because he was still on earth, and not in heaven. He was born as a human being, just like you and me, and not born as an angel or a Spirit. He was referring to His Father in heaven. And He was referring to our Father in heaven, and not to Himself. He was referring to the disciples' Father in heaven. He was referring to our Father in heaven. And that makes Jesus our brother . As our brother, He cannot forgive our sins. Only God the Father can forgive our sins. Jesus was only a mediator between His Father and us.
