A MYSTERY

I read a statement online recently that says that every Catholic is a Christian but not every Christian is a Catholic. Why is that? Are we not reading the same Bible, or are we reading from a different Bible? If we are reading a different Bible, my next question is who is the source of that Bible, a human being or God? Why am I asking you that question? Because Jesus and His Father have warned us about false teachers and false prophets. "For false christs and false prophets will rise and show signs and wonders to deceive, if possible, even the elect. “ Mark 13:22. Jeremiah 29:8-9 says, “ For thus says the LORD of hosts, the God of Israel: Do not let your prophets and your diviners who are in your midst deceive you, nor listen to your dreams which you cause to be dreamed. For they prophesy falsely to you in My name; I have not sent them, says the LORD. THE STANDARDS OF SALVATION

  Saul of Tarsus wrote in Ephesians 2:8-9, “For by grace you have been saved through faith , and that not of yourselves; [it is] the gift of God, not of works , lest anyone should boast.“ Saul says that we are saved by faith in God, and not because of anything that we do. He arrives at this conclusion from reading a story about the thief on the cross who is dying, and he applies the story to all. Saul wants to set this story, a rare exception, as the standard of salvation, saved by faith. This kind of reasoning is an error in reasoning, a flawed concept, that renders an argument invalid. Why? Because we are not thieves on the cross who are dying. Jesus said in Matthew 7:21, “Not everyone who says to me, ‘Lord, Lord,’ will enter the kingdom of heaven, but only the one who does the will of my Father who is in heaven. “ Matthew 7:21 is the standard of salvation. THE CROSS

  Readers, we already know there is no saving power in the thief on the cross, none. It was a misunderstanding. Now I am going to show to you that there's no saving power in the cross either. A cross can save no one. What then can save us? Jesus said, "Not everyone who says to Me, `Lord, Lord,' shall enter the kingdom of heaven, but he who does the will of My Father in heaven. “ Matthew 7:21. There is no saving power in the cross. The saving power comes when we listen to Jesus , the Man who was once crucified on the cross, and when we do what He says. Remember the Lord’s prayer? “ Now it came to pass, as He was praying in a certain place, when He ceased, [that] one of His disciples said to Him, "Lord, teach us to pray, as John also taught his disciples." THE THIEF ON THE CROSS

  The article that I want to write today is about the thief on the cross. “ Then one of the criminals who were hanged blasphemed Him, saying, "If You are the Christ, save Yourself and us." But the other, answering, rebuked him, saying, "Do you not even fear God, seeing you are under the same condemnation? "And we indeed justly, for we receive the due reward of our deeds; but this Man has done nothing wrong." Then he said to Jesus, "Lord, remember me when You come into Your kingdom." And Jesus said to him, "Assuredly, I say to you, today you will be with Me in Paradise." Luke 23:39-43. Readers, before I say much more about Luke 23:39-43 I want to assure you that the only thief on the cross that Jesus will save based on his faith is the thief described in Luke 23:39-43. I COULD NOT UNDERSTAND

  I could not understand why there are so many God haters and Paul lovers here on earth. And then I found the answer. "You shall have no other gods before Me. "You shall not make for yourself a carved image, or any likeness [of anything] that [is] in heaven above, or that [is] in the earth beneath, or that [is] in the water under the earth; you shall not bow down to them nor serve them. For I, the LORD your God, [am] a jealous God, visiting the iniquity of the fathers on the children to the third and fourth [generations] of those who hate Me, but showing mercy to thousands, to those who love Me and keep My commandments." Exodus 5:3-6. Many Christians all over the world have a carved image of Saul of Tarsus in their head as their god and serve him instead of serving the Father of Jesus.
