SALT OF THE EARTH

God the Father, by way of God the Son said, "You are the salt of the earth; but if the salt loses its flavor, how shall it be seasoned? It is then good for nothing but to be thrown out and trampled underfoot by men. "You are the light of the world. A city that is set on a hill cannot be hidden. "Nor do they light a lamp and put it under a basket, but on a lampstand, and it gives light to all [who are] in the house. "Let your light so shine before men, that they may see your good works and glorify your Father in heaven.” Matthew 5:13-16.
Jesus uses the metaphor of salt and light to describe the character and usefulness of us and those who work for Him. And that is to glorify our God in heaven. Readers, be careful in what we do. The world is watching what we are doing. Are we glorifying the name of God the Father by keeping His commandments? Or are we dishonoring God the Father by abolishing the commandments of Yahweh? And what is the intention of our action? Why do we abolish the commandments of God the Father that He gave to us, by way of Jesus Christ, when God the Father has never died? If we are dishonoring His name, we must repent and stop dishonoring Him, or otherwise He will trample us under His feet! He will send us to hell as He did to those men/women of great faith, "Not everyone who says to Me, `Lord, Lord,' shall enter the kingdom of heaven, but he who does the will of My Father in heaven. "Many will say to Me on that day, `Lord, Lord, have we not prophesied in Your name, cast out demons in Your name, and done many wonders in Your name?' "And then I will declare to them, `I never knew you; depart from Me, you who practice lawlessness!'” Matthew 7:21-23.
Those are the words of God the Father, conveyed to us by God the Son. Finally, God the Father said, by way of God the Son, "But why do you call Me `Lord, Lord,' and do not do the things which I say?” Luke 6:46. Why?
