WHY CALL ME LORD, LORD?
God the Father said, by way of Jesus, "But why do you call Me `Lord, Lord,' and do not do the things which I say?” Luke 6:46. Readers, do we understand what God the Father has said? He said, don’t go to church looking for Him if we do not plan to do His will! If we go to church to meet friends, listen to the band, have potluck together, but not do His will, why go to church? In other words, doing His will is more important than going to church and singing hymnals with a loud and clear voice.
"Not everyone who says to Me, `Lord, Lord,' shall enter the kingdom of heaven, but he who does the will of My Father in heaven. "Many will say to Me on that day, `Lord, Lord, have we not prophesied in Your name, cast out demons in Your name, and done many wonders in Your name?' "And then I will declare to them, `I never knew you; depart from Me, you who practice lawlessness!'” Matthew 7:21-23.
People who practice lawlessness are living in sin, under or above grace, and Jesus wants to have nothing to do with them. Unless we repent, Jesus wants us to leave His presence. God the Father, by way of Jesus said, "You did not choose Me, but I chose you and appointed you that you should go and bear fruit, and [that] your fruit should remain, that whatever you ask the Father in My name He may give you.” John 15:16. How can we bear the fruits of Jesus when we are living in sin? We have to stop living in sin, repent, and then allow the Holy Spirit to do what He wants us to do for Him.
Jesus rejected these men/women of great faith from entering the Kingdom of God because they are still living in sin.
They practice lawlessness. They are living in sin under “grace”. Sin = Satan. There is no place for Satan in heaven. There is no mercy for Satan. Sin is worse than Covid -19, or any of the most deadly infectious diseases known today. What medicine is there for people who choose to live in sin other than do the will of God?.
