DID JESUS FULFILL THE LAW?

Jesus said, " Do not think that I came to destroy the Law or the Prophets. I did not come to destroy but to fulfill. "For assuredly, I say to you, till heaven and earth pass away, one jot or one title will by no means pass from the law till all is fulfilled. "Whoever therefore breaks one of the least of these commandments, and teaches men so, shall be called least in the kingdom of heaven; but whoever does and teaches [them], he shall be called great in the kingdom of heaven. "For I say to you, that unless your righteousness exceeds [the righteousness] of the scribes and Pharisees, you will by no means enter the kingdom of heaven.” Matthew 5:17-20. Millions of the newborn Christians say that they no longer follow the Old Testament laws because Jesus has “fulfilled” the law. Jesus, however, said that He did not come to destroy or change the law, but to fulfill the law. In the eyes of Jesus, to destroy/change the law and to fulfill the law are two different things. ...

WHERE IS OUR HOME?

Readers, I want to ask you a very important question. Do you know where your home is? Do we know where our homes are? Why do I ask this question? Because I have a strange feeling that many of us don’t have a home, and don’t know that we don’t have a home. Many of you don’t have a home. And this is not a hyperbole. I exaggerate nothing! Okay, let me explain what I mean. God the Father said, by way of Jesus Christ, "Let not your heart be troubled; you believe in God, believe also in Me. "In My Father's house are many mansions; if [it were] not [so], I would have told you. I go to prepare a place for you. "And if I go and prepare a place for you, I will come again and receive you to Myself; that where I am, [there] you may be also.” John 14:1-3. Readers, how many of you have heard your preachers quote this verse to you in church? That’s all that I heard my preacher say, and not much more. And we all say amen, and amen until foams and saliva come from our mouth, remember...

PERFECTION

Good morning readers. How are you doing? I hope you are all doing well this morning and prepared to meet and greet Jesus Christ when He returns, soon. I have never met any of you personally here on earth, but I am looking forward to meeting all of you when Jesus returns to welcome Him. This morning I am going to ask your attention to God’s words found in Matthew 5:48, "Therefore you shall be perfect, just as your Father in heaven is perfect.” I am sure you have heard or read this text before. What are your thoughts of the possibility of us becoming perfect? Why? Because Jesus said we shall be perfect. But how can we b e “perfect” as God the Father is “perfect”. Can we be “perfect” as God the Father is “perfect”? I think we cannot. Why? Because there are things that He can do that we can never do. And that’s why He gave us His commandments, because there is nothing in His commandments that we cannot do, and He wants us to be perfect in doing His commandments. Readers, do you see a...

HYPERBOLE

I suspect that many readers who have read what I wrote in my postings during the past year or so must have thought that they are a bunch of “hyperboles”. No, they are not. They are the truth, and nothing but the truth! I am witnessing for Jesus Christ. I am also witnessing for Him who had sent Jesus to the world! Remember the story of Noah? Nobody believes him. Some thought that he may be out of his mind. But only he found grace in the eyes of the Lord, he and a handful of his family members, and the rest all perished. No, his messages were not “hyperboles”. "For as in the days before the flood, they were eating and drinking, marrying and giving in marriage, until the day that Noah entered the ark,” Matthew 24:38. “Hyperboles” killed them all! What happens when Jesus returns? What happens to those who died during the big flood? Would Jesus’ death also pay for their sins? God intentionally killed them! I have a feeling that when Jesus returns “hyperboles” will send millions of pe...

ABUSING THE LAW

The apostle Paul wrote, “ For sin shall not have dominion over you, for you are not under law but under grace. ” Romans 6:14. Readers, how do we know that adultery is a sin if there is no law that says that adultery is a sin? How do we know that not keeping the Sabbath holy is a sin if there is no law that says that we must keep the Sabbath holy? How do we know that worshipping more than one god is a sin if there is no law that says, "You shall have no other gods before me." Exodus 20:3. We don't know. "Not everyone who says to Me, `Lord, Lord,' shall enter the kingdom of heaven, but he who  does the will of My Father in heaven. "Many will say to Me on that day, `Lord, Lord, have we not prophesied in Your name, cast out demons in Your name, and done many wonders in Your name?' "And then I will declare to them, `I never knew you; depart from Me, you who practice lawlessness! '” Matthew 7:21-23. Jesus rejected these men/women of great faith be...

OUR FOCUS

Good morning readers and happy seventh day of the week, the Sabbath of the Lord. This morning I want to approach a text in the Bible differently. It is different from what I heard in church since I was a little kid. It’s different from what I heard in school, in a Protestant elementary school, or in a Catholic school. The focus there was on JESUS , nothing but Jesus! However, Jesus said, " He who believes in Me, believes not in Me but in Him who sent Me . "For I have not spoken on My own [authority]; but the Father who sent Me gave Me a command, what I should say and what I should speak. "And I know that His command is everlasting life . Therefore, whatever I speak, just as the Father has told Me, so I speak."John 12:44,49-50. Readers, do we understand what Jesus has said? He wants us to FOCUS on God the Father , and not on Him, or anyone else. “God the Father who sent Me gave Me a command, what I should say and what I should speak. "And I know that His comman...

SUSPECTS

Readers, why do you think Jesus has chosen a disciple, Judas Iscariot, who stabbed Jesus in the back? Do you think Jesus doesn’t know that Judas will betray Him? Do you think that Jesus didn't know that Judas Iscariot would betray Him before He decided to select him as His disciple? I am sure He knew. But why does it have to be one of His workers who does the dirty job, why? I think Jesus must have a reason why He has chosen a traitor to be His disciple or worker. The reason, I believe, is that He wants us to know not to trust every worker who works for Him. They, instead, should be treated as suspects until proven innocent. Just because they work to spread the gospel does not mean that they have Jesus in their heart. Jesus said, "Beware of false prophets, who come to you in sheep's clothing, but inwardly they are ravenous wolves.” Matthew 7:15. They look at us as their source of income, or food. Why? Because they have no other source of income other than the offerings...
