Have you ever wondered why Jesus said, “Follow Me” and not “Follow Us”? I had been asking that question for quite a while until I got the answer early this morning. The answer is quite simple. The answer is very simple. Jesus wants to make a clear distinction between Me and Us. Here is an example. You have read my posting about a staggering number of Christian groups or denominations globally, over 45,000, but only one Jesus. Do you still remember? Have you ever wondered why that many? That was because Christians have been following “Us” and not been following “Me”. Millions of Christians have been following Jesus, Paul, Peter, and so on. It goes back even as far as to the prophets mentioned in the Old Testament Bible. Doesn’t that amaze you? That was the reason why we have over 45,000 Christian denominations, and only one Jesus. Do you know how many Islam denominations we have in the world? Buddhist, Hindu, and everything else? Go ahead, do a Google search, and start counting. So, what do the number 45,000 and one Jesus tell us? Confusion Bro, nothing but confusion! Lucifer and his angels love to confuse us. Confusion is Satan's Trademark.
Jesus said, "I am the good shepherd, and I know My [sheep] and am known by My own. Then the Jews surrounded Him and said to Him, "How long do You keep us in doubt? If You are the Christ, tell us plainly." Jesus answered them, "I told you, and you do not believe. The works that I do in My Father's name, they bear witness of Me. "But you do not believe, because you are not of My sheep, as I said to you. "My sheep hear My voice, and I know them, and they follow Me. "And I give them eternal life, and they shall never perish; neither shall anyone snatch them out of My hand.” John 10:14,24-28. Jesus said all the above referring to His sheep. And to reduce the confusion Jesus told us this, "No one can serve two masters; for either he will hate the one and love the other, or else he will be loyal to the one and despise the other. You cannot serve God and mammon.” Matthew 6:24. Do people listen? No, they do not. No, they would not. Why? Jesus said, “For the hearts of these people have grown dull. Their ears are hard of hearing, And their eyes they have closed, Lest they should see with [their] eyes and hear with [their] ears, Lest they should understand with [their] hearts and turn, So that I should heal them.'” Matthew 13:15. God the Father said, by way of God the Son, "Not everyone who says to Me, `Lord, Lord,' shall enter the kingdom of heaven, but he who does the will of My Father in heaven. "Many will say to Me on that day, `Lord, Lord, have we not prophesied in Your name, cast out demons in Your name, and done many wonders in Your name?' "And then I will declare to them, `I never knew you; depart from Me, you who practice lawlessness!'” Matthew 7:21-23.
Readers, have you ever wondered why God said that hell is waiting for these Christians of great faith, who can say "Lord, Lord", and not heaven? One would think that they deserve better? I want you to think, and figure out the answer before Jesus returns.
