DO YOU KNOW?

Readers, do you know that Jesus wants us to do God’s will and not do our will? That’s what He said, "In this manner, therefore, pray: Our Father in heaven, Hallowed be Your name. Your kingdom come. Your will be done on earth as [it is] in heaven.” Matthew 6:9-10.
Why must we do His will? Because His will is not His will. His will is the will of God the Father. And the will of God the Father is eternal life. Jesus said, "Not everyone who says to Me, `Lord, Lord,' shall enter the kingdom of heaven, but he who does the will of My Father in heaven. "Many will say to Me on that day, `Lord, Lord, have we not prophesied in Your name, cast out demons in Your name, and done many wonders in Your name?' "And then I will declare to them, `I never knew you; depart from Me, you who practice lawlessness!'” Matthew 7:21-23. Readers, are we doing God's will, or are we doing our will? The men/women of great faith described in Matthew 7:21-23 were not doing the will of God the Father. They were doing their will, and Jesus rejected them. But they thought they were doing the will of God the Father. And many Christians thought that they were doing God's will. They thought, but they do not know for sure. How can we know for sure that we are doing the will of God? We must know what Jesus says in His will. We must know His commandments. Why? Because His will are found only in His commandments, and nowhere else! His will are found only in His commandments, and nowhere else, period. That's why God the Father said, by way of God the Son, "If you love Me, keep My commandments.” "He who has My commandments and keeps them, it is he who loves Me. And he who loves Me will be loved by My Father, and I will love him and manifest Myself to him." Judas (not Iscariot) said to Him, "Lord, how is it that You will manifest Yourself to us, and not to the world?" Jesus answered and said to him, "If anyone loves Me, he will keep My word; and My Father will love him, and We will come to him and make Our home with him. "He who does not love Me does not keep My words; and the word which you hear is not Mine but the Father's who sent Me.” John 14:15,21-24. Actually what Jesus said is if we love our life, keep His commandments. That's what He meant when He said, "If you love Me, keep My commandments.” If we love our life, keep His commandments. By keeping His commandments we can know for sure that we are doing His will. No more guessing, think or thought. That's why the apostle Paul says this,
“Circumcision is nothing and uncircumcision is nothing, but keeping the commandments of God [is what matters]. 1 Corinthians 7:19. When we do His will we will be rewarded, but if we don’t do His will we will not be rewarded. Look here. Jesus said, "If you love Me, keep My commandments.” "He who has My commandments and keeps them, it is he who loves Me.
Jesus said if we keep His commandments we will be rewarded, regardless of time. His commandments are His will, in one package. Again, Jesus said, "Not everyone who says to Me, `Lord, Lord,' shall enter the kingdom of heaven, but he who does the will of My Father in heaven. These Christian men/women of great faith met Jesus on Judgment Day, and asked Jesus for admission to heaven based on their faith, but Jesus rejected them! Why? Because they did not do the will of God the Father. They thought they were doing God's will. No, they did not! They get no credit for their great faith. Zero credit. When I read this verse I said to myself, Oh, those Christians. When will they ever learn?
