Do we know how we were created according to the Bible? Genesis 2:7 says “And the LORD God formed man [of] the dust of the ground, and breathed into his nostrils the breath of life, and man became a living being.”
A man was made of dust or mud, and God breathed the breath of life into his nostrils, and he became a living being.
The Apostle James said, “For the body without the spirit is dead.” James 2:26. James tells us that we have a body and a spirit. And the spirit or soul comes from God above. But our body comes from the ground below - dust or mud. The breath of life from God is our soul. The soul in us makes us alive. In other words, the body is the servant of the soul or spirit.
Many believers do not know that the “breath of life” is our soul. They think that it was just a breath that God breathed into the nostrils of man. No, the breath of life is our soul that makes us a living being.
When we go to heaven, our souls or spirits go to heaven, not our physical bodies. When we go to hell, both our bodies and our souls go to hell.
Jesus said in Matthew 10:28, "And do not fear those who kill the body but cannot kill the soul. But rather fear Him who is able to destroy both soul and body in hell." Why? Keep on reading.
Why did Jesus make this threat to us, "And do not fear those who kill the body but cannot kill the soul? But rather fear Him who is able to destroy both soul and body in hell." Matthew 10:28. Why? I believe the punishments, the pain, and the suffering, will be much different when our soul (spirit) is burned in hell compared to when our body is destroyed in hell. The body is destroyed very quickly in hell, maybe less than a minute. But what about our spirit? What is a spirit? Our soul is a spirit. A demon is a spirit. Satan is a spirit. A spirit is resistant to death.
Why do we not have to fear those who can kill the body but fear Him who can kill the soul? Why? There must be a reason why Jesus said those words. I believe the reason why Jesus said those words was to let us know that hypocrites, false Bible teachers, and false Bible preachers will be assigned a place in hell where we will hear "weeping and gnashing of teeth," Matthew 24:51.
The more evil a spirit is, the longer it will take to kill that spirit. The more evil a spirit is, the louder and longer you will hear their weeping and gnashing of teeth! Why? Because a soul or spirit does not die as quickly as a body in hell. A spirit or a soul is resistant to death. That's why Jesus said, "And do not fear those who kill the body but cannot kill the soul? But rather fear Him who is able to destroy both soul and body in hell." Matthew 10:28.
Our body is just a means to an end. It is a vehicle that takes us to the end. The end is heaven, or hell. What we do with our bodies determines our destination (end) - heaven or hell.
If our bodies are killed in hell, the heat of hell will kill us in a matter of seconds, or one, or two minutes. Are we done? No, we are not done yet. Jesus implied that our wicked souls will also be punished in hell!
Please, do not let anybody fool you and make you believe that God loves sinners. Jesus loves sinners who repent, or have the potential of repentance. He knows every one of us. You know the story of the big flood during Noah's time, right? Why did God force the sinners to inhale mud water? Genesis 6 tells us that God saw them with bad intentions. Even the animals that have nothing to do with man's bad intentions were also destroyed. God said that He was sorry for creating us. Genesis 6:6.
Jesus said in John 7:7, "The world cannot hate you, but it hates Me because I testify of it that its works are evil."
Who are the "you's"? The "you's" are His disciples during His time, and all preachers and ministers during our time if they dare to say that the world is evil.
Paul wrote in 2 Timothy 4:3-4, "For the time will come when they will not endure sound doctrine, but according to their own desires, [because] they have itching ears, they will heap up for themselves teachers, and they will turn [their] ears away from the truth, and be turned aside to fables.
There will be only souls or spirits in heaven. Souls who love Jesus. Souls who love each other souls like they love themselves. Souls who are obedient to God. Souls who do what Jesus wants them to do, and not what they want to do. "God's will be done" is the universal governing principle in Heaven.
Again, I want all my readers to know and understand that souls are resistant to death. If we are not saved because of our stubborn unrepenting souls, whatever time it takes to kill our unrepentant souls, one day or one week, we will weep and suffer pain until it is all over.
“In that place, there will be weeping and gnashing of teeth." God said.
In Matthew 7:21 Jesus said, "Not everyone who says to Me, `Lord, Lord,' shall enter the kingdom of heaven, but he who does the will of My Father in heaven.” And His will is not only one sentence long. His will is found in the first four books of the New Testament and in the books of His prophets.
In Matthew 6:10 Jesus taught us to say this in our daily prayer, “Your kingdom come. Your will be done, on earth as [it is] in heaven.”
In John 14:15 Jesus said, "If you love Me, keep My commandments.”
The Context Christians say, to do the will of God means that we have a good relationship with God. Can we have a good relationship with God if we don’t love Him? Can we have a good relationship with God if we do not do what He wanted us to do in Matthew 6:10 and John 14:15? No, we cannot.
Why do we abolished God's Laws? Because we refused to be ruled by the Kingdom of God.
Anywhere we live if we refuse to be ruled by the rules of the country where we live, we either go to jail or be deported. Do we think that if refuse to obey the rules of the Kingdom of God we will go to heaven? Have we not learned from the big flood? Have we not learned from Adam and Eve? Have we not learned from Lucifer and millions of his angels who were evicted from heaven?
Protect our souls. They are the most valuable asset that we have.
