DO THE WILL OF MY FATHER
“Then I saw an angel coming down from heaven, holding the key to the bottomless pit and a great chain in his hand. He laid hold of the dragon, that serpent of old, who is [the] Devil and Satan, and bound him for a thousand years; and he cast him into the bottomless pit, and shut him up, and set a seal on him, so that he should deceive the nations no more till the thousand years were finished. But after these things he must be released for a little while. And I saw thrones, and they sat on them, and judgment was committed to them. Then [I saw] the souls of those who had been beheaded for their witness to Jesus and for the word of God, who had not worshiped the beast or his image, and had not received [his] mark on their foreheads or on their hands. And they lived and reigned with Christ for a thousand years. But the rest of the dead did not live again until the thousand years were finished.
This [is] the first resurrection. Blessed and holy [is] he who has part in the first resurrection. Over such the second death has no power, but they shall be priests of God and of Christ, and shall reign with Him a thousand years. Now when the thousand years have expired, Satan will be released from his prison and will go out to deceive the nations which are in the four corners of the earth, Gog and Magog, to gather them together to battle, whose number [is] as the sand of the sea. They went up on the breadth of the earth and surrounded the camp of the saints and the beloved city. And fire came down from God out of heaven and devoured them. The devil, who deceived them, was cast into the lake of fire and brimstone where the beast and the false prophet [are]. And they will be tormented day and night forever and ever.“ Revelation 20:1-10. Readers, do you know whom John was referring to, that the devil has deceived, after he was released from prison, whose number [is] as the sand of the sea? I believe they are the millions or billions of disappointed Christians who are deceived by the beast and his false prophet to disobey Jesus’ Father, and to worship the beast and his image.
Jesus said in Matthew 7:21-23, “Not everyone who says to me, ‘Lord, Lord,’ will enter the kingdom of heaven, but only the one who does the will of my Father who is in heaven. Many will say to me on that day, ‘Lord, Lord, did we not prophesy in your name and in your name drive out demons and in your name perform many miracles?’ Then I will tell them plainly, ‘I never knew you. Away from me, you evildoers!’ Only he/she who does the will of Jesus’ Father will be saved. Only he or she who is obedient to God’s words and commandments will be saved. Readers, do you understand what Jesus said? He said that those of us who go to church but do not do or comply with the will of Jesus’ Father are evildoers. In other words if we do not obey God we are evildoers. That’s why Jesus repeatedly said in the Bible if we love Him keep God’s commandments. Keeping God’s commandments is evidence that we are obedient to Him.
Ignoring His commandments is proof that we are obedient to the beast and the false prophet/apostle. Readers, whom are we obedient to, Jesus’ Father, or the snake?
What’s wrong with going to church? We can go to church seven days a week, but if it doesn’t lead us to obedience to His words, stay home and sleep. Why do we go to church? Are we in church to meet friends and relatives? I believe the main reason why we are in church is to learn about the will of God. Is your preacher talking about the will of God every week? Jesus said, in Matthew 7:21-23, “Not everyone who says to me, ‘Lord, Lord,’ will enter the kingdom of heaven, but only the one who does the will of my Father who is in heaven. Many will say to me on that day, ‘Lord, Lord, did we not prophesy in your name and in your name drive out demons and in your name perform many miracles?’ Then I will tell them plainly, ‘I never knew you. Away from me, you evildoers!’
And so, what is the will of Jesus’ Father? There are many, more than one. But one of them, I believe, is that we must learn to obey Him. This is the most important reason for going to church!
We must learn to obey Him. We must practice to obey Him. Nothing is more important than this. If we have no intention of obeying Him, why go to church? Stay home and sleep. Why go to church?
Obedience to God should be number one on our faith list. If we are not obedient to Him there is very little that He could or would do for us. Just look at Adam and Eve. One mistake, and they are out forever! Reading the Bible from the beginning to the end ten times will not save us. But doing the will of Jesus’ Father will be generously compensated.
It takes practice to be proficient in doing anything. It takes practice to do the will of God, plenty of practice. God the Father gave us many commandments during the time of Moses. Jesus Christ also gave us many commandments during His time. Our faith in God is measured by how obedient we are toward God. The mark of the beast is disobedience to God. May God bless you all with wisdom from heaven.
