THE LORD'S PRAYER
"In this manner, therefore, pray: Our Father in heaven, Hallowed be Your name. Your kingdom comes. Your will be done on earth as [it is] in heaven. Give us this day our daily bread. And forgive us our debts, as we forgive our debtors. And do not lead us into temptation but deliver us from the evil one. For Yours is the kingdom and the power and the glory forever. Amen.” Matthew 6:9-13. Readers, whom was Jesus referring to when He said our Father in heaven? Himself? No. Why? Because He was still on earth at the time. And Jesus is not our Father. And He could not be the Father of Himself. So, who is our Father in heaven? It must be Yahweh. He is the Father of you, me, and the Father of Jesus, our Father in heaven.
Some newborn Christians say that Jesus can forgive sins. I am still looking for evidence to support that. But I can assure you that if you sin against God the Father, if you ignore and refuse to do the will of Jesus’ Father, you will end up in a place that is too hot for you to handle. Jesus can do nothing for you if you go against the will of His Father in heaven. Does that make sense? I hope it does. Jesus said, "Not everyone who says to Me, `Lord, Lord,' shall enter the kingdom of heaven, but he who does the will of My Father in heaven. "Many will say to Me on that day, `Lord, Lord, have we not prophesied in Your name, cast out demons in Your name, and done many wonders in Your name?' "And then I will declare to them, `I never knew you; depart from Me, you who practice lawlessness!'” Matthew 7:21-23. Are we doing the will of Jesus’ Father, or are we doing the will of the apostle Paul? The result will be vastly different.
