LEGALISTIC
Readers, I want to ask my readers, all of you, this one question. Is God the Father a legalistic God? Why did I ask this question? Because I feel that many, millions of Christians believe that He is like our "mama”. He is loving and kind, like a mother, but please don’t test His patience. We know what He did to Adam and Eve, remember? And we also know what He did to Lucifer and millions of his angels. No, God the Father will not treat us like our mama. Do you know how I knew that? I read the Bible, and I read what He did to them. No second chance.
“Now all the people witnessed the thunderings, the lightning flashes, the sound of the trumpet, and the mountain smoking; and when the people saw [it], they trembled and stood afar off. Then they said to Moses, "You speak with us, and we will hear; but let not God speak with us, lest we die." And Moses said to the people, "Do not fear; for God has come to test you, and that His fear may be before you, so that you may not sin." So the people stood afar off, but Moses drew near the thick darkness where God [was].” Exodus 20:18-21.
In our eyes the law may not be important, but in the eyes of God the Father and Jesus the law is extremely important. That was the reason why God the Father gave to the Israelites the ten commandments, and Jesus gave to His followers and us the following identical commandments: “And you shall love the LORD your God with all your heart, with all your soul, with all your mind, and with all your strength.' This [is] the first commandment. "And the second, like [it, is] this: `You shall love your neighbor as yourself.' There is no other commandment greater than these." Mark 12:30-31. Jesus said, "If you love Me, keep My commandments "He who has My commandments and keeps them, it is he who loves Me. And he who loves Me will be loved by My Father, and I will love him and manifest Myself to him." Judas (not Iscariot) said to Him, "Lord, how is it that You will manifest Yourself to us, and not to the world?" Jesus answered and said to him, "If anyone loves Me, he will keep My word; and My Father will love him, and We will come to him and make Our home with him. "He who does not love Me does not keep My words; and the word which you hear is not Mine but the Father's who sent Me.” John 14:15,21-24.
Brothers and sisters, why did I repeatedly mention in my articles the law? Because I know that God the Father is a legalistic God.
Jesus said, "Not everyone who says to Me, `Lord, Lord,' shall enter the kingdom of heaven, but he who does the will of My Father in heaven. "Many will say to Me in that day, `Lord, Lord, have we not prophesied in Your name, cast out demons in Your name, and done many wonders in Your name?' And then I will declare to them 'I never knew you; depart from Me, you who practice lawlessness!'" Matthew 7:21-23
We can have faith as the biggest mountain on earth, but if we ignore His law God will reject us. Why? Because our God is a legalistic God. The basis of our belief in Him are the laws that God the Father and Jesus gave to us.
I am sure that there is nothing that we can use to circumvent His laws. It comes down to this truth: salvation has to be earned. Jesus said if we love Him keep His commandments. When we do that we get credit toward our salvation. If we keep the ten commandments of God the Father we accumulate more credits towards our salvation. What do they tell us? Salvation has to be earned. There is more than one way to earn our salvation. The thief on the cross is an exception. We should never generalize an exception to apply to everybody. That is a blatant lie to make easy money.
Whether or not we will make it in our long journey to heaven depends on whether or not we are obedient to Him until the end of our life. Obedient to what? Obedient to His will. Obedient to His command. And obedience to His will is WORK. Without doing the WORK that He asks us to do we will not be rewarded regardless how pretty we look. And if God rewards us only when we are obedient to Him and do the work that He wants us to do, then we have earned our salvation. We have to earn our salvation, no other way! It’s not a gift, unless we qualify to receive that gift, like the thief on the cross that Jesus saved. Don’t let any church fool us and make us believe that God will save us just by the asking, or if we have BIG faith in Him. Read Matthew 7:21-23.
God the Father is a legalistic God. If you don’t believe me now, you WILL believe when Jesus returns.
NONE who practices lawlessness will be admitted to heaven, NONE.
