REPENTANCE
Jesus said, “I have not come to call the righteous, but sinners to repentance.” Luke 5:32.
“I tell you, no! But unless you repent, you too will all perish.” Luke 13:32.
“I tell you that in the same way there will be more rejoicing in heaven over one sinner who repents than over ninety-nine righteous persons who do not need to repent.” Luke 15:7.
“From that time on Jesus began to preach, “Repent, for the kingdom of heaven has come near.” Matthew 4:17.
I encourage you to do your own Bible research on this subject of repentance because this subject on repentance is VERY important as it relates to this following subject - YOU WILL REAP WHAT YOU SOW.
“Do not be deceived, God is not mocked; for whatever a man sows, that he will also reap.”For the one who sows to his own flesh will from the flesh reap corruption, but the one who sows to the Spirit will from the Spirit reap eternal life.”Galatians 6:7-8.
“According to what I have seen, those who plow iniquity And those who sow trouble harvest it.” Job 4:8.
If we don’t repent, we will reap what we sow. If we plow iniquity and sow trouble today, we will harvest it in the future when we are 30 yrs, 50 yrs, 80 yrs old, or when Jesus returns. This is the law of nature that no one can escape. When we will reap the seed of iniquity that we sow we don’t know. Pray to God that He will give us the strength to endure the pain when harvest time comes. Oh God, help us!
Isaiah 48:22 “There is no peace,” says Jehovah, “for the wicked.”
Isaiah 57:21 There is no peace,” says my God, “for the wicked.”
Ezekiel 33:8 When I say to someone wicked, ‘Wicked one, you will surely die!’ but you do not speak out to warn the wicked one to change his course, he will die as a wicked man because of his own error, but I will ask his blood back from you.
Ezekiel 3:19 But if you warn someone wicked and he does not turn back from his wickedness and from his wicked course, he will die for his error, but you will certainly save your own life.
If God did not immediately punish us for our sins it is not because He is gracious, but because our time has not arrived yet to reap what we sow. How do I know that? Because Isaiah says, there is no peace for the wicked. Peace and no peace cannot both be true at the same time. There is no grace for the wicked.
Don’t believe everything that comes out from the mouth of a Jesus salesman or saleswoman. They are out there to make money. They think that lying is a gift from God.
