DO THE WILL OF GOD

“Then the LORD saw that the wickedness of man [was] great in the earth, and [that] every intent of the thoughts of his heart [was] only evil continually. And the LORD was sorry that He had made man on the earth, and He was grieved in His heart. So the LORD said, "I will destroy man whom I have created from the face of the earth, both man and beast, creeping thing and birds of the air, for I am sorry that I have made them." But Noah found grace in the eyes of the LORD.” Genesis 6:5-8. Readers, do you know why Noah found grace in the eyes of the Lord? Because he does the will of God the Father. Do you know why God drowned millions or billions of people during Noah’s time? Because they do not do the will of God, brought to them by His servant Noah, and not because of their faith. They could have faith as big as the biggest mountain on earth, but if they don't do the will of God the Father, God will reject them. Faith can not save anyone, but doing the will of the Father can save the world. We know that Adam and Eve lost eternal life because they did not do what God wants them to do. Why would God take eternal life from them if they do the will of God the Father? Jesus said, "Not everyone who says to Me, `Lord, Lord,' shall enter the kingdom of heaven, but he who does the will of My Father in heaven. "Many will say to Me on that day, `Lord, Lord, have we not prophesied in Your name, cast out demons in Your name, and done many wonders in Your name?’ "And then I will declare to them, `I never knew you; depart from Me, you who practice lawlessness!'” Matthew 7:21-23. Readers, what did Jesus say about why He rejected these men/women of great faith? Because they do not do the will of God the Father. If they refuse to do the will of God while they are on earth, taking them to heaven at any time is a hell of a risk.

The Apostle John says, “He who says, "I know Him," and does not keep His commandments, is a liar, and the truth is not in him.” 1 John 2:4.

Whatever is our past is past, and is gone forever and is forgiven. But we cannot continue to live the way we used to live in the past as pagans, practicing lawlessness, and refusing to do the will of God the Father.

Jesus said, "Do not think that I came to destroy the Law or the Prophets. I did not come to destroy but to fulfill. "For assuredly, I say to you, till heaven and earth pass away, one jot or one title will by no means pass from the law till all is fulfilled. "Whoever therefore breaks one of the least of these commandments, and teaches men so, shall be called least in the kingdom of heaven; but whoever does and teaches [them], he shall be called great in the kingdom of heaven.” Matthew 5:17-19. Readers, do you know what the least means? It means nothing!

`This people honors Me with [their] lips, but their heart is far from Me. And in vain they worship Me, teaching [as] doctrines the commandments of men.' Isaiah 29:13.

The Convert’s Catechism of Catholic Doctrine gives this concise question-and-answer explanation of the history we’ve covered above:

“Q: Which is the Sabbath day?

“A: Saturday is the Sabbath day.

“Q: Why do we observe Sunday

instead of Saturday?

“A: We observe Sunday instead of Saturday because the Catholic Church, in the Council of Laodicea, transferred the solemnity from Saturday to Sunday” (Peter Geiermann, 1957, p. 50).

History tells us that if we refuse to do the will of God, He will not save us. Even if we are lukewarm, He will vomit us from His mouth. God said, "I know your works, that you are neither cold nor hot. I could wish you were cold or hot. "So then, because you are lukewarm, and neither cold nor hot, I will vomit you out of My mouth.” Revelation 3:15-16.
