SIDE BY SIDE

Today I am going to make a side-by-side comparison between “the law of Christ” and the Ten Commandments. I am going to begin with the longer commandments, the Ten Commandments, and end with the shorter commandment, the “law of Christ”.
"I [am] the LORD your God, who brought you out of the land of Egypt, out of the house of bondage. "You shall have no other gods before Me. "You shall not make for yourself a carved image, or any likeness [of anything] that [is] in heaven above, or that [is] in the earth beneath, or that [is] in the water under the earth; you shall not bow down to them nor serve them. For I, the LORD your God, [am] a jealous God, visiting the iniquity of the fathers on the children to the third and fourth [generations] of those who hate Me, but showing mercy to thousands, to those who love Me and keep My commandments. "You shall not take the name of the LORD your God in vain, for the LORD will not hold [him] guiltless who takes His name in vain. "Remember the Sabbath day, to keep it holy. Six days you shall labor and do all your work, but the seventh day [is] the Sabbath of the LORD your God. [In it] you shall do no work: you, nor your son, nor your daughter, nor your male servant, nor your female servant, nor your cattle, nor your stranger who [is] within your gates. For [in] six days the LORD made the heavens and the earth, the sea, and all that [is] in them, and rested the seventh day. Therefore the LORD blessed the Sabbath day and hallowed it. "Honor your father and your mother, that your days may be long upon the land which the LORD your God is giving you. "You shall not murder. "You shall not commit adultery. "You shall not steal. "You shall not bear false witness against your neighbor. "You shall not covet your neighbor's house; you shall not covet your neighbor's wife, nor his male servant, nor his female servant, nor his ox, nor his donkey, nor anything that [is] your neighbor's." Exodus 20:2-17.
I love the Ten Commandments. Why? Because they not only tell me what they are, but they also tell me how to do them in clear terms.
The Ten Commandments were written by YAHWEH, God the Father, and given to the “stubborn” Israelites, through the Prophet Moses for them to keep and observe. Take plenty of time when you read them, don’t rush. There is no need to hurry. Take your time to read so you can understand each of the Ten Commandments. If you don’t understand, read them again!
Now we come to the “law of Christ”. The “law of Christ” comes from Paul, aka Saul from Tarsus.
Galatians 6:2 states, “Bear one another's burdens, and so fulfill the law of Christ”. Nowhere can we find in the Bible what the “law of Christ” is other than “bear one another’s burden”, scripturally speaking. Galatians 6:2.
Some Christian writers “claim” that thelaw of Christ” refers to Mark 12:28-31.
“Then one of the scribes came, and having heard them reasoning together, perceiving that He had answered them well, asked Him, "Which is the first commandment of all?" Jesus answered him, "The first of all the commandments [is]: `Hear, O Israel, the LORD our God, the LORD is one. `And you shall love the LORD your God with all your heart, with all your soul, with all your mind, and with all your strength.' This [is] the first commandment. "And the second, like [it, is] this: `You shall love your neighbor as yourself.' There is no other commandment greater than these."
No, no, no. First, scripturally speaking, Galatians 6:2 does not refer to Mark 12:28-31 other than “you shall love your neighbor as yourself”. That's it. How about `And you shall love the LORD your God with all your heart, with all your soul, with all your mind, and with all your strength.' This [is] the first commandment’. How about it?
Yahweh said, by way of Jesus Christ, "If you love Me, keep My commandments.” John 14:15.
Do we love Him? Do we keep His commandments? NO, we do not! We use Paul’s “law of Christ” in Galatians 6:2 to evade, or to circumvent The Ten Commandments. What are we doing here? Are we using Paul to contradict Jesus? Is that how we plan to go to heaven, spending hundreds of hours each day trying to find ways to contradict Jesus with Paul's words? Bad luck Bro, bad luck!
