BELIEVE AND OBEY
Jesus said, "He who believes and is baptized will be saved; but he who does not believe will be condemned.” Mark 16:16. Can we be saved if we are not baptized? I think we cannot. Why? Because baptism is one evidence that shows that we believe in Him. We obey Him when we are baptized. We believe Him when we do what He tells us to do. We have to produce some evidence to show Jesus that we believe in Him, just as we have to show some evidence that we have faith in Him. No one can be saved if we cannot show evidence that we believe or have faith in Him. If we can have faith alone, or believe alone to qualify for heaven, demons will also go to heaven. If we cannot show anything, what is the basis of our belief or faith in Jesus? Can we prove them to Jesus by saying that the evidence that we can show to Jesus that we believe in Him and that we have faith in Him is that we have abolished all of His commandments? NO! He will say that we are INSANE! I know Jesus. Do you know Jesus? If you don’t know Him, let me introduce The Son of Man to you now in this article - Can I Ask?. He is the Voice of God the Father. And you will hear more about Him in my future articles. Jesus said, "If your right eye causes you to sin, pluck it out and cast [it] from you; for it is more profitable for you that one of your members perish, than for your whole body to be cast into hell. And if your right hand causes you to sin, cut it off and cast [it] from you; for it is more profitable for you that one of your members perish, than for your whole body to be cast into hell.” Matthew 5:29-30. Jesus also said, "And do not fear those who kill the body but cannot kill the soul. But rather fear Him who is able to destroy both soul and body in hell.” Matthew 10:28. Finally, here’s a scenario of what Jesus said to the men/women of great faith at the end of time, "Not everyone who says to Me, `Lord, Lord,' shall enter the kingdom of heaven, but he who does the will of My Father in heaven. "Many will say to Me on that day, `Lord, Lord, have we not prophesied in Your name, cast out demons in Your name, and done many wonders in Your name?' "And then I will declare to them, `I never knew you; depart from Me, you who practice lawlessness!'” Matthew 7:21-23.
Brothers and Sisters, please don’t ignore Jesus’ warnings. Do not ignore His warnings! Why? Because Jesus loves to give us surprises, just like His Father. "For as in the days before the flood, they were eating and drinking, marrying and giving in marriage, until the day that Noah entered the ark, "and did not know until the flood came and took them all away, so also will the coming of the Son of Man be.” Matthew 24:38-39. In the parable of the Ten Virgins Jesus said this, "Then the kingdom of heaven shall be likened to ten virgins who took their lamps and went out to meet the bridegroom. "Now five of them were wise, and five [were] foolish. "Those who [were] foolish took their lamps and took no oil with them, "but the wise took oil in their vessels with their lamps. "But while the bridegroom was delayed, they all slumbered and slept. "And at midnight a cry was [heard]: `Behold, the bridegroom is coming; go out to meet him!' "Then all those virgins arose and trimmed their lamps. "And the foolish said to the wise, `Give us [some] of your oil, for our lamps are going out.' "But the wise answered, saying, `[No], lest there should not be enough for us and you; but go rather to those who sell, and buy for yourselves.' "And while they went to buy, the bridegroom came, and those who were ready went in with him to the wedding; and the door was shut. "Afterward the other virgins came also, saying, `Lord, Lord, open to us!' "But he answered and said, `Assuredly, I say to you, I do not know you.' "Watch therefore, for you know neither the day nor the hour in which the Son of Man is coming.” Matthew 25:1-13. The Bible hackers have robbed the virginity of the Ten Foolish Virgins! We too can become foolish Christians if we allow Satan and his human agents to rob us of our good senses. The apostle James say faith alone without work is dead. I say believe alone without obedience to God is also dead! Readers, please do not allow Bible hackers to deceive us. Do not go with them!
